Euromonitor released their consumer trends outlook for 2022 and it’s worth a read. You can download the full report here. A common theme across the list we think is appropriate is self-empowerment and improvement.
The top reason for using subscription services seems to be convenience.
Climate changers are consumers interested in making a positive change to climate change and willing to spend their dollars in companies serious about making positive changes to their products.
Digital seniors seem to be spending more time online, reading, shopping and socializing but their favorite activity is ordering food online.
Financial aficionados are consumers that are more savvy and aware of all the financial options out in the market place.
Life Refreshers are people who quit their job to start new.
There are many others in the list and we won’t cover them all here but it does provide some insight into changing consumption patterns and the need to be on the lookout for new investment opportunities based on this paradigm. It is clear that companies that offer convenience are poised to gain market share. And while the labor shortage may cause some restaurants to fail, ghost kitchens should do phenomenally well as the aging demographic gets more comfortable with ordering food online for home delivery.
We just got the report so we’ll digest the information and do our own due diligence.
Stay tuned and stay solvent…
