On the heels of Canada’s 40 year high inflation, the UK is now also at a 40 year high. From NPR:
The Office for National Statistics said Wednesday that consumer price inflation rose slightly from 9% in April, itself the highest level since 1982.

We’ve updated the inflation chart with all of the US top trading partners inflation rates except for Japan. Here’s the chart.
Inflation is the least of the UK’s problem however since many workers are threatening to strike including the national rail workers.
Inflation doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon and we expect the US Federal Reserve to continue to raise interest rates in an attempt to contain the inflation beast.
