We’ve written a great deal about labor shortages throughout the United States but the problem doesn’t stop there. In Germany, Lufthansa’s solution to their labor shortage is to bring back pensioners. You can watch the video at the link below.

In Spain, the farm labor shortage there has pushed for African migrants to be trained on tractors to help deal with labor issues. There is a video on the topic at the link below.

And in Greece, the government there is planning on normalizing 300,000 immigrants into the labor force in agriculture, tourism and construction. You can read about it in the link below.

This is just a snapshot of labor issues in an aging population around the world. There are labor problems in most of Europe and the United Kingdom. The rallying cry is always “we’ll just hire more people” but few seem to understand that there are no more people to hire.

How can we have labor shortages with 8 billion people on the planet? It’s complicated.

First, although there are 8 billion people in the world, most of the young people are concentrated in India, Middle East and Africa. The rest of the planet has rapidly aging population whose skilled labor is retiring in large numbers.

Second, there areas that do have young people generally have poor infrastructure, educational systems, and high rates of poverty. The expression, “dying of thirst in the middle of the sea” comes to mind. While the planet has plenty of water, it’s not the kind of water that is drinkable without treatment and improvement. Sadly, this is the case with the current state of global labor.

In all of this madness, we’ve been researching how to profit and we developed a new system of investment called DIVOSTM so to learn more about it stay tuned, stay profitable and stay solvent…
