For the month of November, social security added 130,000 new enrollments bringing the total for 2023 thru November to 1.223 million recipients.
We also updated our projections based on the last 11 months of data and conducted an extrapolation to see where we might be by 2030.
If the current trend holds, we’ll be at 79 million social security recipients by 2030 but the number will likely be higher if advances in medicine keep people going longer. Sadly, as reported recently, the labor participation rate continues to decline.
A declining labor participation work force and an increasing “retired” class of people putting pressure on goods and service is a recipe for disaster but we’re sure there will be ways to profit from this mess so stay tuned, stay profitable and stay solvent…
