After rent moratoriums, eviction moratoriums and all sorts of other delays to restoring the landlord / renter equilibrium, that time may finally be arriving. All over the country, evictions are starting to increase exponentionally.

From Virginia:

With more than 16,000 eviction hearings scheduled this month, thousands of people are likely to lose their housing, Christie Marra, the director of housing policy at the Virginia Poverty Law Center, tells Axios.

From Montana:

The Montana Legal Services Association (MSLA) reports that 3,000 people sought their services for housing-related issues in 2021.

From Texas:

On Monday, the nonprofit’s communications director, Terri Behling, said the shelter was housing more than 1,500 people, which is over capacity for Haven for Hope.

There are projected to be an explosion of homelessness and quite possibly crime as people become desperate. We expect an increase in crime and incarceration over the next few years which is why we were looking at investing in the Prison Industrial Complex. We’ll keep you posted on our investment outcome.
