The best investment right now for a variety of reasons seems to be short term T-bills. With all T-bills at a year or under paying above 5 percent interest rate and virtually risk free it’s the best place for our money right now and that’s where a large percentage of our portfolio is sitting right now.
We generally invest in 1 month T-bills and roll them over each month. The Fed’s next meeting will happen in September and with oil spiking to $80/bb and labor wages remaining elevated it is likely the Fed will hike again.
We still hold PUT positions on XHB for January 2024 expiry but home builder stocks have remained stubbornly high these past few months. We’re a few months away from expiry so stay tuned, stay profitable and stay solvent…
